What is full-service billing?
Our full-service billing includes undertaking all tasks required to ensure payment after the patient leaves the physician’s office: charge entry, paper or electronic claim submission, claim follow up with payers, payment posting, patient billing and follow up, monthly reporting, denial follow-up and other services. We also provide AAPC certified coders to carry out medical coding.

Will Searce help with my aging Accounts Receivables?
Yes, if you like. We will analyze your outstanding accounts receivables and provide all follow up services.

Once I become a client, how long does it take for Searce to start providing full-service billing?
Once we have all contracts in place, we can being operations within 4-6 weeks. Our outsourcing methodology provides additional details regarding our engagement approach.

Can Searce submit claims to insurance companies our physicians do not participate with?
Yes. We can submit to all insurance carriers regardless of participation status in the HIPAA compliant format.

As a client, who do I call at Searce with questions?
You will have a dedicated offshore operations manager who will be knowledgeable about the specialties that you cater to and he/she will oversee your operations and offshore resources. Your operations manager will be your point of contact will be able to answer all your queries.

How does Searce measure its billing performance objectively?
We use a variety of benchmarking data to provide clients with information on how their practice is doing compared to other similar practices. We use specialty and region-specific benchmarking data from national organizations such as Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), as well as our own internal benchmarking techniques.

Which medical billing software does Searce use?
We can set up operations using your software and database in most cases. If you are just starting up and are undecided as to which software you will choose or if you want to change your existing software and are evaluating alternative medical billing packages, we have assembled a comparative evaluation of medical billing software packages for your benefit.

How do you handle non-payments from an insurance carrier? (Denials, part payments etc.)
We must first determine if the denial, whether in part or in full, is valid. If the denial is valid it must be written off. If the denial is not valid, as in many of the cases, we will request that the carrier reprocess the claim. Some insurance carriers may require that the claim be resubmitted on paper via snail mail – Searce can handle this requirement for you.

How many clients are you equipped to handle?
Searce is set up to scale quickly for most situations. If you have an unusually high number of resources that you are considering cosourcing, please contact us to discuss the same.

Are my confidential records secure?
Yes, Searce provides various levels of security assuring that your records remain secure and confidential. We maintain complete confidentiality with all information that we receive. Our employees sign a strict non-disclosure agreement and our operations are 100% HIPAA compliant.

Will I be in violation of HIPAA standards if you fail to meet the security standards?
Under HIPAA regulations “You can send out anything containing patient-identifiable data to transcription services, collection companies, health insurers, attorneys and other parties as long as they sign business associate contracts.” - Source: American Medical Association (http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2003/07/14/bisa0714.htm)

We will sign a Business Associate Agreement with you. Searce abides by all guidelines set by HIPAA.

Are your operations in compliance with HIPAA Standards?
Yes, we design our cosourcing arrangement with 100% HIPAA compliance. As new regulations and standards are released, Searce will actively monitor the same and take steps to remain in compliance.
